You may use any of the sources to help you answer the questions, in addition to those sources which you are told to use. 3 How do Singaporeans view the Population White Paper? BACKGROUND INFORMATION In January 2013, the government released a Population White Paper. This White Paper was debated in Parliament and passed. In the White Paper is a plan and a roadmap to address the challenges of Singapore’s declining population and ageing population. It projects that Singapore's population could grow up to 6.9 million by 2030 with the coming of immigrants. Of this figure, citizens would form 55%.
