Fig 1.1 Support the wooden rod by passing it through the string loop attached to the spring and also through the long string loop. Mass m1 should be 200 g and mass m2 should be 100 g. The bottom of mass m1 should be approximately 5 cm above the bench. (ii) Adjust the apparatus until the wooden rod is balanced and horizontal.
