Forming a Thesis Overview of main points explaining how theme/character/literary technique is used ● Example: Austen uses first impressions and appraisals for three important purposes; as a manner to examine the suitability of society’s standards of judgement, to show the fallibility of human judgement, and to show the psychological growth of her protagonist How should context and text be used together?
