2 Section A [10 marks] Question 1 Carefully read the text below, consisting of 12 lines, about the history of Starbucks. The first and the last lines are correct. For eight of the lines, there is one grammatical error in each line. There are two more lines with no errors. If there is NO error in a line, put a tick (✓) in the space provided. Examples: I arrive to my destination at 2 pm. at My mother always wears colourful clothes. ✓ Starbucks’ story begins in 1971 along the cobblestone streets of Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. It was there which Starbucks opened its first store, offering fresh-roasted coffee beans, tea and spices in around the world for their customers to take home. Their name was inspired by a classic tale, ‘Moby Dick’, evoking the seafaring tradition of the early coffee trader. Ten years later, a young New Yorker named Howard Schultz would walk through those doors but become captivated with Starbucks coffee from his first sip. After joining the company in 1982, a different cobblestone road would led him to another discovery. It was on a trip to Milan in 1983 that Howard first experienced Italy’s coffeehouses, and he returned to Seattle inspired to bring the warmth and artistic of its coffee culture to Starbucks. By 1987, Starbucks swapped their brown aprons for green ones and embark on their next chapter as a coffeehouse. T
