2 Write a guided analysis of the following text. 1. This magazine article is taken from Platinum Jubilee Souvenir Issue. 1 This week we are marking the platinum jubilee of one of our most successful monarchs, Elizabeth II – a woman who came to the throne in the 1950s, when Britain was still reeling from the Second World War and the nuclear age was dawning, and who is, remarkably, still there. She has been the most recognisable woman in the world for decades. 5 The Queen has lived through and presided over a period of unprecedented change. Mary, Queen of Scots fought hard (if ultimately unsuccessfully) for the right of a woman to rule. Queen Anne is also being recognised by scholars for creating prosperity after many years of uncertainty, as well as fostering the arts and sciences. 25 Elizabeth II’s reign will be seen by future historians as marking the high watermark of constitutional monarchy in Britain. In coming years our monarchy is likely to be red
