You have been provided with  two boiling tubes in a rack, each with a water-level marking 10 cm from the bottom  two plasticine (about 2cm tall) placed under the boiling tubes on the rack.  two thermometers  a retort stand, boss and clamp  hot water  a stopwatch  a dropper  a beaker  cloth Set up the apparatus as shown in Fig 1.1 Thermometer A is the thermometer in boiling tube A and thermometer B is the thermometer in boiling tube B. Fig. 1.1 Thermometer A must be held by the clamp and positioned so that the bottom of the bulb is about 1 cm below the water-level marking on the side of the boiling tube. Thermometer B must rest gently on the bottom of the boiling tube. Assemble the setup shown in Fig 1.1.
