3 Section B [20 marks] 5 At the beginning of the text, Kambili imagines her father’s reaction to her results. Explain how the language used in Paragraph 1 tells us her opinion of Papa. Support your ideas with three details from Paragraph 1. <How Language Achieves Impact> 1. ‘he did not send us to school just so that other children could come first’ suggests that Kambili perceives Papa to have high expectations/is demanding of his children *to be the best/ always be at the top.
