The aim of the investigation was to determine whether residents' perceptions of the environmental quality differed according to the number of times they visited the park. The students developed the following hypothesis: 'Residents who visit Limbang Park more frequently have a more positive perception of the environmental quality of the surrounding neighbourhood.' To collect the data, the students used convenience sampling by approaching visitors at Limbang Park who were readily available and willing to participate in the survey. If a person declined to participate, the next available visitor was invited instead. A total of 60 completed questionnaires were collected. (i) Assess the effectiveness of the sampling method used in this geographical investigation. [3]
