She was not prepare to conform to business practices that she saw as destruction to the environment. Her beliefs in social and environmental responsibility was fundamental to the way in which she established her own business, and lead her to devote her time and energy to raising awareness of the need to protect the environment. When Roddick died, Adrian Bellamy, chairman of Body Shop International, said that one of Roddick’s achievement was to alter the world of business. Roddick believed that the business world, traditionally, do things predominantly for personal gain.
