2 Section B [30 marks] You are advised to write between 250 and 350 words for this section. You should look at the printout of a webpage in the Insert, study the information carefully and plan your answer before beginning to write. The graduating cohort in your school would like to celebrate the end of the school year by going on a day trip. As a graduating student, your teacher has asked you for suggestions for possible activities where there are opportunities to learn new skills and have an enjoyable time. You have seen a webpage and think the activities suggested will be good choices for the students. Your teacher has asked you to give a speech to the graduating cohort about the day trip. In your speech you should: • congratulate the graduating cohort and say which day trip you have chosen • state why the day trip will be the most suitable for the graduating cohort • explain the benefits the students will gain from the activity you have chosen • explain how the students can apply the learning from this activity in their future endeavours You may add any other details you think will be helpful. Write your speech in clear, accurate English and in a persuasive and enthusiastic tone to convince the graduating cohort that this would be a great day out.
