For eight of the lines, there is one grammatical error in each line. There are two more lines with no errors. If there is NO error in a line, put a ( √ ) in the space provided. If the line is incorrect, circle the incorrect word and write the correct word in the space provided. The correct word you provide must not change the original meaning of the sentence. In this case, parched lake, snaking/snaky cracks. 3) While many candidates were able to get this right, a handful of candidates were confused by the long sentence and forgot to check for SVA error. The subject of the sentence is “The parched lake bed”. 4) Most of the candidates were able to get this right. 5) Many candidates answered this question wrongly. They identified ‘posted’ as the error. Again, students are reminded to be mindful of tenses.
