The situation is extremely dire. Water supplies for agricultural irrigation have been shut off across its farmland and farmers whom have been hit hard are worried . Household in the areas under t ight restrictions also go without running water twice a week. The authorities are drilling extra wells, but military plan es are dumping cloud -seeding chemicals in hopes at triggering downpours. The Ministry of Finance allocate 2.5 billion New Taiwan dollars in March to drill wells and build emergency seawater desalination facilities.
