INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES: 1. Answer Section A, Section B and one question from Section C. 2. Section A is an insert. 3. For Section A, write your answers in the spaces provided on the insert. 4. For Section B and Section C, write your answers on the separate Answer Paper provided. 5. At the end of the examination, hand in the three sections separately. 6. Hand in the question paper separately at the end of the examination. This question paper consists of 4 printed pages, including this cover page.
2 Section B [30 marks] You are advised to write between 250 and 350 words for this section. You should look at the visual on the next page, study the information carefully and plan your answer before beginning to write. Your school is holding an Open House for Primary 6 students who are deciding on their choice of secondary school. As the Student Council President, you have been asked to promote your school’s Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) in a speech to the Primary 6 students. You have seen your school website and think it would be a good choice to highlight the top-performing CCAs. In your speech you should: • state the two CCAs you would like to highlight and why • explain how these CCAs promote a balance of learning and fun • explain why CCAs contribute to an enriching school life Write your speech in clear, accurate English and in a persuasive, enthusiastic tone to convince the Primary 6 students to come to your school. You may add any other details you think will be helpful. You should use your own words as much as possible.

4 Section C [30 marks] You are advised to write between 350 and 500 words on one of the following topics. 3 Write about a time when you helped someone in need. What did you learn from the experience? 4 ‘Education is more than classroom learning.’ What are your views? 5 Describe a memory that will always be special to you. Why do you still remember it to this day? 6 What are some places that you like to travel to and why? END OF PAPER
