Look for clues and evidence in the passage c. Arrive at a conclusion d. Answer the question in a complete sentence Own words questions 1. 2. 3. 4.

Read b. Highlight c. Locate d. Substitute e. Answer the question in a complete sentence Quotation questions Quote the relevant phrase or word from the passage that would fit the same meaning as/corresponds with the question a. Read the question caefully b. Highlight the key words/phrases or key idea in the question. c. Locate the answer in the passage. d. Lift what is relevant and answer the question using quotation marks "_" Language Use questions (e.g. figurative language) How certain words/phrases create an effect/mental picture How certain the reader understands the intensity of the action/sound/feeling a. read the question carefully b. highlight the key ideas in the question c.
