LysosomesLysosomesaresmall,sphericalvesiclesthataresurroundedbyasinglemembrane.Lysosomescontainhydrolyticenzymessuchaslipases,proteasesandnucleases.
Function:Todigestmaterialsmadeinthecellortakeninfromoutsidebyphagocytosis,ortodigestworn-outorganellesinthecell.Thisprocessisknownasautophagy Vacuoles Animal Fluid-filledsacboundbyasinglemembrane.Formedeitherbythepinching-off partofthecellmembrane,orbyenlargementofavesiclefromtheGolgiapparatus.Itisusuallyrelativelysmallerascomparedtotheplantvacuole,andexiststemporarily.
