Moreover, giventhat the dominant firms have been in the market for some time,contrivedbarrierssuchasbrandloyaltyhavebeenestablished,makingitdifficultforanewincumbentfirmtopenetrate.Assuch, thishighbarrierstoentryhasresultedinasmallnumberoffirmsinmostcountries.For instance, in Singapore the main ride-hailing firms are Grab, GoJek, Ryde, ComfortDelgroetc. This suggest that eachfirmscanhaveasubstantial marketpresencewithstrongmarketpower.
