1) Study Source A. What is the message of this source? Explain your answer. The message is that there are many different types of healthcare help for Singaporeans. The poster shows help like “subsidies, Medisave, Medishield and Medifund”. This tells me that there are different types of subsidies available. Eg. The message is that healthcare is very expensive in Singapore, that’s why the poster is showing us the need to have different types of healthcare help for Singaporeans. This tells me that the government needs to help Singaporeans due to the expensive healthcare. 2-3 L3 Valid interpretation with identification of the purpose of Singapore’s healthcare system Award supported answer with the higher mark E.g. The government wants to convey the message that they have put in place a very sound healthcare system to ensure that all Singaporeans are well-supported for their healthcare needs.
