Section A Answer all questions. Section B Answer two questions in this section, each from a different topic. At the end of the examination, fasten all your work securely together. The number of marks is given in brackets [ ] at the end of each question or part question. The Insert contains all the Figures referred to in the question paper. Diagrams and sketch maps should be drawn whenever they serve to illustrate an answer. The world outline map may be annotated and handed in with relevant answers. SAJC/H2 GEOG/9730/02/QUESTION/12 2 Section A Answer all the questions in this section. Questions 1, 2, and 3 carry 12 marks and Question 4 carries 14 marks. You should allocate your time accordingly. The Globalisation of Economic Activities 1 Figure 1 shows star diagrams which illustrate the occupations of people living in the same village in 1930 and in 2000. The village is in an accessible area in Southern England. a) Describe the changes in employment that have taken place since 1930. [4] b) Suggest reasons for the changes in employment. [4] c) Using Caldwell‟s Wealth Theory, account for the changes in the young population in Sub-Saharan Africa from 1950 – 2050.
