Clamp the cork as shown in Fig 1.2 and ensurethat the optical pin ishorizontal. 2. Place the pin through hole1, as shown inFig. 1.2. 3. Make sure that the strip can swing freely.Move the bottom of the strip about2 cm from its vertical position into positionAasshown in Fig. 1.2. 4. Release the strip. When thebottom of the strip returns to position A, start thestopwatch. When the stripreturns again to positionAit has completed cyclenumberone. 5. Continue to count each timethe strip returns to positionA. Stop thestopwatch at the end of cyclenumber ten. This is the time, T, fortencomplete cycles of the strip. 6.
