3 (c)A group of students wanted to test the hypothesis: ‘Services located in Toa Payoh Central attract users from further distances compared to services located in a typical Toa Payoh precinct.’They split into two groups with one group visiting and interviewing customers in a bakery in Toa Payoh Bloom (a typical precinct) and one group visiting a bakery in Toa Payoh Central. Both groups interviewed a total of 10 customers each from 3pm to 4pm and asked for the postal codes of the customers. Using this information, the students plotted each customer’s residence on a map.
