The worker is tied to a Nazi swastika. [Explanation] This suggests that the German workers were tightly controlled by the Nazi government. They would have their personal freedoms and rights taken away. [Context] Some workers would have felt like this as the Nazi party was strongly anti-communist by this point and promised to ensure that any opposition to Nazi rule would be dealt with harshly, especially opposition by communist backed workers.
