2 8834/2023/Y5/Promo Examination/QP Section A Cluster 2 Fieldwork 1 A student from Loyalty Junior College (JC) carried out fieldwork to investigate the effectiveness of his school’s climate change initiatives. The school introduced ‘Project Gaia’ in May to promote recycling and a reduction in waste generation. The teachers shared the message with the students. Additionally, monthly recycling drives were also organised. The student used secondary data to craft a questionnaire. He then conducted a survey and focus group discussion in July. This process was repeated with a separate group of participants in September. Resource 1A shows the breakdown of the student population by gender. Resource 1B shows the breakdown of the student respondents for the survey by gender. Resource 1C shows the breakdown of the respondents for the focus group discussion by gender. Resource 2A shows responses to selected questions of the questionnaire. Resource 2B shows an excerpt from a respondent’s sharing at the focus group discussion of the effectiveness of ‘Project Gaia’. (a) Suggest a suitable research question for the investigation. Explain your choice of research question.
