Text 1 is taken from the webpage of the Singapore Agro-Food Enterprises Federation Limited. Our locally grown produce currently accounts for less than 10% of the food we eat. Text 2 is taken from an email by a student to her friend. You know Jane, I was always under the impression that locally produced food was inferior. Well, I couldn’t be more wrong. The local greens, eggs and fish that I tried at the Buy Local fair were simply delicious! They were all so fresh. I found out that choosing local produce is actually more environmentally friendly. That means I can not only enjoy great tasting food, but also do my part in saving the world. Isn’t that wonderful?
