The streets are once again clean and neat, the debris of the shattered houses has been cleared, and pedestrians and vehicular traffic has been resumed… The greatest boon to Syonan dwellers during the month has been the continuance of the electric light and water services and supplies … Conditions will soon be back to pre -war times , but, with one difference. Instead of being subject peoples of a “superior ru ling class,” today we are free and equal members of a New Order. A New Order which offers freedom and equal opportunities to all. Study Source A.
